I would have to check and see what this would be in Windows 7. The default icon for a VBS file ( IN WINDOWS XP) is the 3rd one in the program file "WScript.exe", and is set in the registry here: You won't be able to just change it for those "Send To" VBS files. If you change the icon that VBS files show by default, then ALL of your VBS files will show a different icon. It is a shell extension that just displays the same icons as the actual files in the Send To folder are displaying. Off the top of my head I would say that what you see in the Right-Click > Send To menu is what you are stuck with. My preference has always been to have shortcuts in that folder, with those shortcuts pointing to files that are elsewhere like C:\Scripts, but there is probably a very good reason that TommySzalapski suggested having the actual VBS files in the folder. If TommySzalapski recommended that as the appropriate way, then I am not going to argue with his suggestion. Move File to Desktop " link for copying and moving files and folders to my desktop represent the default Windows "Desktop" (and NOT a 'shortcut' "Desktop") icon symbol? So both *.VBS files are indeed actual real files (2. Plus, in my Shell:SendTo folder, for those *.VBS files, there are none of the Windows shortcut icon symbols as part of the icons.

], TommySzalapski's comment ID: 38079793 (about three-quarters halfway down the webpage) with his instructions to me how to add it to the Shell:SendTo folder - see step:3. I will say that they are NOT shortcuts from my understanding because I cut and pasted both *.VBS files directly in the Shell:SendTo folder (Please see in that same weblink [ 's-Send-to-2-Additional-Sub-Menu-Option-Selection-Commands-For-Copy-to-Desktop-And-Move-to-Desktop-Please-Explain.html I am very much interested in just the standard Windows default Desktop icon to use instead.

NOTE: In the other Experts Exchange weblink Comment ID I have provided above, the Experts Exchange member (sayedmohu) has a "customized default set of icons" he uses in his Windows operating system in lieu of the standard Windows default set of icons, so please do not let that confuse you with HIS choice of Desktop icon in the Comment ID.

Please explain the steps I need to perform in detail. Obviously, you can tell that I need to "change" the thumbnail icons for the 2 of the 3 added commands (That is for number 2 and 3 above.) to the SAME right-click context menu's "Send to >" link to same representational Desktop icon (That is for number 1 above or Copy to Desktop.). Of course, the first one (number 1 above) "Copy To Desktop" (see that Experts Exchange weblink above following comment ID: 38065156 ) ALREADY SHOWS and BY DEFAULT IS GIVEN a desktop icon thumbnail and that is fine with me.

Copy to Desktop " link for copying and moving files and folders to my desktop to the Desktop icon symbol? This thumbnail image should be representational of the standard default Windows Desktop icon and not the default *.VBS file icon symbol. The 3 additional commands to the right-click context menu's "Send to >" link pertain to or are aptly named:ġ. I recently added to my Windows 7 64-bit operating system, additional 3 commands to the right-click context menu's "Send to >" link for copying and moving files and folders to my desktop. I have a question to ask you regarding my Windows 7 64-bit operating system.
